I finally managed to fulfill a long time dream: flying a plane! My first booking had been canceled (September 2023) due to operational reasons and this time the weather was a mixed bag. So I had low expectations. Yet the experience was all the better as I got to fly the plane trough the ascent, maneuvers and descent. The pilot did amazingly to boost my confidence and to become comfortable with a complex and risky activity. The views were amazing, the thrills were great. Thank you for helping me fulfill this wish!

The staff on site were very friendly and helpful. It was a nice touch to have somewhere nice to sit and have a drink and scone. The weather was amazing so the flight and views were stunning. I liked the fact that the cost of £10.00 for your photograph taken by the staff goes towards Air Ambulance.

Great flying lesion with NORTH WEST FLIGHT TRAINING, the captain was a great teacher. I was particularly nervous, I’m nervous flyer at the best of times and he kept me at ease throughout. It was a gift from my family and NOT something on my bucket list and certainly took me way out of my comfort zone. I flew and landed the plane which was a bonus. It was real challenge and definitely an experience I will cherish and remember for a very long time. Thank you!

When we first arrived, we were met by a very welcoming lady (sorry I didn't make a note of her name) who clearly explained everything we need to know about the day. Also all the heritage railway volunteers we spoke to during the day were friendly and very knowledgeable, which made the overall experience feel special. Having a dedicated/reserved coach for Adventure001 customers was a real bonus and we used it for the whole day travelling back and forth between the two stations by both steam and diesel (class 37) trains.
