Free parking All the staff on & off the train were very attentive & friendly .. A step was provided to help us board the train more easily.. The scones clotted cream were very nice accompanied by prosecco & tea .. the only down fall was that the train journey wasn’t as long as l hoped ( 20 mins each way ) .

My husband and I were bought the 3 hour falconry experience as a gift. We initially arranged the day at the venue nearest our home, but had to reschedule. This was a simple process through the app but unfortunately the first venue was not available when we were and we had to go further away. This turned out to be wonderful! Herrings Green Activity Farm and Birds of Prey Centre, near Bedford was brilliant. It felt like a small, friendly business. They have farm animals on one side of the centre, with play areas for children and over 100 birds of prey on the other. There is a small shop and café as well. Our group was quite large, about 20, but everyone got equal contact t with these wonderful birds. Firstly, we learnt about the smaller birds: a Scops owl, Tawny owl and Kestrel. We were organised in a horseshoe around the falconer and she brought out the birds one at a time, giving one each to a guest spread out along the line. She told us about each bird in turn and moved the birds along so that we all got to hold each one. It was a real thrill to be so close to these amazing creatures. This part lasted an hour and then we moved to the flying arena where we had a 30-minute informative display with some larger birds: different eagles a buzzard and a trio of storks. This too, was really interesting as we were told about their behaviours in the wild and could see how their wings and tails adapted to suit their habitat etc. Next, we had the opportunity to have a larger bird of prey fly to us. We had firstly a Harris Hawk who I got to have. It was quite windy yesterday and he tired, so Clare brought out a bigger, more experienced bird, a Chilean Blue Eagle, to fly to everyone else. He was magnificent, with a five-foot wingspan. Again, we were told lots of interesting information about the birds and the history of falconry. Anyone who wanted to got the time to participate and two young boys got to hold the larger birds as they were a bit small to safely have them fly to them. Once this part was complete, we had time to meet one last bird and Clare brought out a Spoonbill. He had a real personality and we were able to feed him by hand. We made a smaller circle and he was very happy to wander around and interact with us; it was really magical. Clare stayed around to answer questions at the end. She was really knowledgeable and enthusiastic about these wonderful creatures. I would definitely recommend this venue if you have the 3 hour experience. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the falconers really knowledgeable.

Had a great experience on the Helicopter flight bought for us by our Son and his family. All the members of the team were extremely professional but very friendly. The Pilot Joe was very professional and if there had been any nerves he settled them. His commentary and his knowledge of the area was excellent. Really enjoyable experience and I would recommend it and will probably go again at another location. Well done and thanks to everyone.

It was like flying a magic carpet, power sliding in a drift car and riding a roller coaster all in one. Even though myself and others performed various controls throughout the experience, we all felt safe and confident that our professional pilot, Ollie, was always in control. Absolutely brilliant event and so informative too. The birds were stunning and being able to hold them was wonderful as get to see them up close. Lovely falconry experience with a great variety of beautiful birds. Our handler was friendly, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about them. We were lucky with the sunshine and got to hold lots of the birds up close for a good amount of time. It would have been nice to have a little more flying time, but overall a really enjoyable experience and a lovely day out. 🦅🦉

The whole morning from start to finish was very well organised and the venue itself was stunning (Glastonbury Events). Tony the falconer (Raptocare) was very knowledgeable about all the birds, and answered all the questions thrown at him about each bird. We had some great displays and each of us took a turn at having a bird fly onto our hand. To have a bird of prey on your hand that close is an amazing experience. We also had the opportunity to have photos with another bird on our hand (I chose Jess the Tawny Owl - he was so cute).If your thinking of buying this experience or buying it as a gift I would definitely recommend it.

Great experience,Captain Tom was a brilliant pilot who picked out all the places of interest and kept up an interesting running commentary. It was good to be able to hover above spots that were worth photographing,instead of passing over at 30,000 feet..... Can highly recommend...
